General terms of service
The following terms are meant to help keep expectations clear and projects smooth together.
How we present creative work
Our approach to presenting full-scope creative work is built around the Gestalt method, which says people perceive whole systems more clearly than isolated parts. This means we present whole brands and websites together at once, rather than piece by piece. This is made possible by gathering clear, comprehensive input and alignment at the start of the project, so the direction is well-defined and client-approved before design begins.
By experiencing the brand as a cohesive system — messaging, visuals, and application working together — you’re able to evaluate it as it’s meant to function in the real world. This approach leads to clearer decisions, fewer revisions, and a more confident outcome.
Because of this, we do not present or revise individual elements (such as logos, colors, or type) in isolation. Instead, we refine the work as a complete whole, making focused adjustments where needed to ensure everything aligns and performs as intended. This process works best for clients who are ready to trust a guided, expert-led approach and are comfortable responding to the work as a complete direction, rather than developing it collaboratively piece by piece.
Correspondence
Correspondence will happen through email and scheduled Zoom calls, Monday through Friday.
Displaying work
The Art of You may display and reference our work on your brand in our own marketing efforts, such as in our portfolio and on social media.
Just in case
If for some legitimate reason we are having difficulty working together, we The Art of You may end the project by giving you written notice, and we will not ask you to pay any further fees. However, we may keep all payments made to date. Of course, we will attempt to find a solution with you before ending the project. If for some reason you want or need to end the project, you may do so by giving us written notice.
