Why we don’t do websites in a week

The Art of You doesn’t do websites in a week for the same reason you wouldn’t want your dream home designed in one week. Attention changes everything. When a website is the digital home of your business, speed for its own sake quietly becomes a form of neglect.

Time is one of the main materials in the creative process. It allows new ideas to surface. A night’s sleep can reveal subtle refinements that elevate the work. When everything is compressed into a week, there’s no room for that kind of clarity to emerge.

Rushed projects tend to default to what is easiest to produce, not what is truest to you or most effective. A slightly-off color palette, fuzzy message, or almost-right layout can follow you for years. That deliberate space lets us notice those tiny misalignments and correct them before they harden into your public face.

So no, we don’t do websites or brands in a week. Other agencies do, but not us. Not because it’s impossible, but because the kind of care and discernment an accomplished interior designer deserves doesn’t fit into that timeline. This is time used in service of rightness.

Plus, you may have been waiting for a great brand and website for years. What’s another 3 weeks?

Question: would you want your dream home designed in one week?

Since 2015, I have helped over 100 interior designers, builders, builders, and architects – from those just starting out to award-winning designers published in Architectural Digest, Luxe, and more.

My process starts with what is already true within you, then brings it to life in a way that resonates with your ideal clients.

I work with designers because they’re awesome. I’m a member of IDS (Interior Design Society) and served on the board of the Virtual Chapter. Design events I’ve attended include High Point, Vegas Market, and BOLD Summit (Business of Luxury Design).

When I’m not creating brands and websites, you can find me listening to audiobooks and going on long speed walks with friends.

I’m from Seattle and now live in New York City with my wife, Gaby.
