Don’t have a niche?
We believe all designers naturally have a genuine niche (often more than one). Niches can come from a number of places: a client type, a project type, a signature process, a point of view, a problem to solve, a client characteristic, an aesthetic, a lifestyle, and more.
The trick is selecting one that fits best, then choosing the right words to articulate it.
Also, niches can be layered. For example, our niche has 3 layers: “designers” (client type), “gutsy” (client characteristic), “define their niche” (the problem we solve).

Who we are
I am Yian (“Ian”) Quach a thinker, designer, and writer. Together with Meng Dimacali, a talented graphic designer and visual artist, we are The Art of You – a full-service branding and design studio. As designers ourselves, helping designers shine is a real pleasure.
Yian
Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, I now live in New York City with my wife, Gaby. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and my prior careers include teaching English in vietnam, tending a 10-seat restaurant bar on NYC’s upper east side for 5 years, and professional photography.
Meng
Hailing from the beautiful city of San Fernando in Pampanga, Philippines, Meng holds a Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Arts from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde and has collaborated with clients worldwide as a professional graphic designer since 2018.
